The Toolbar

On the left side of the screen, you’ll find the toolbar, which contains all the tools you need to create your illustrations. The tools are organized into logical groups for easier navigation.

The first tool is the Select Tool . As its name suggests, it is used to select objects, move them, resize them, and rotate them.

The next group contains the core tools of the editor: the powerful Pen Tool and the Node Edit Tool . The Pen Tool is used to create vector paths, while the Node Edit Tool allows you to edit the nodes and path segments created during the drawing process.

Just as the Select Tool lets you work with entire objects, the Node Edit Tool gives you access to the individual parts of a path-its segments and nodes. This allows you to precisely control the shape of the path, adjusting its curves and corners exactly the way you want. Whenever you activate the Node Edit Tool, the Edit Path tab opens automatically, providing a wide range of options for editing paths and nodes.

The next group contains the standard shape tools: Rectangle , Ellipse , and Line . It also includes the Freehand Tool , which allows you to draw paths freely with your mouse or tablet.

Next is the Text Tool . When selected, it automatically opens the Text tab, where you’ll find the standard options for creating and formatting text.

The final tool is the Gradient Tool . It is used to fill objects with smooth color transitions, allowing you to create attractive gradient effects with ease.
